Chicken Twisties Chicken

Chicken Twisties Chicken

You can tell a lot about a person by their choice of Twisties flavour. Cheese Twisties people love the classics, while Chicken Twisties people are risk takers. Which one are you? Cheese or chicken? I’m a Chicken Twistie guy. If you are undecided, this recipe might help.

Makes 2

1 chicken breast
1 small bag (90 g) chicken-flavoured Twisties 1⁄2 cup plain flour
1 egg, beaten
cooking oil spray

  • Using a sharp knife, cut the chicken breast in half by slicing parallel with the bench, so that you end up with two thinner pieces. Set aside.

  • Empty the Twisties into a Ziplock bag, remove excess air and seal. Use a rolling pin to crush the Twisties into small crumbs and add them to a small bowl.

  • Add flour to another small bowl and beaten egg to a third.

  • Dip the chicken into the flour, covering all sides and shaking off any excess. Then dip into the egg mixture, before covering with

Twisties crumbs. Press the chicken firmly into the Twisties to help

the crumbs stick to the chicken.

  • Preheat air fryer to 200°C.

  • Spray the base of the air fryer basket with cooking oil spray, then lay

the crumbed chicken inside before spraying the chicken with a little

    more cooking oil spray.

  • Cook chicken at 200°C for 8 minutes, turning halfway, until golden

and crunchy. Make sure the chicken is fully cooked before serving.
